To access and store data on My Book Live, WD ShareSpace, My Book World Edition (White Light), or My Book World Edition II (White Light) after setting up the device, you must first map a network drive to one or more of the default shares. This section contains network drive mapping steps that you must follow for Mac.
Please Note: You should not map to the "Configuration" share as that displays information about the drive and is not a place to store data. To show the mapped drives on the desktop, open the Finder preferences (Select Finder then Preferences) and check the Connected Servers box.
